It is not possible to truly safeguard children and young people without listening to what they have to say about their experiences.

At this year's Safeguarding Masterclass – Hearing Every Child's Voice, we are delighted to welcome Jasvinder Sanghera CBE, herself a survivor of a forced marriage and now an internationally renowned speaker, campaigner and author.
We will also hear from Worcestershire County Council Safeguarding Education Adviser, Denise Hannibal on the county wide impact Encompass has had and how we move forward, and from Martin Lakeman, Worcestershire County Council Lead on Domestic Abuse on empowering education professionals to ask questions and 'hear every child's voice.'

How can you, as early year's practitioners, best support children's resilience and self-regulation helping them to be 'can-do' people who love learning?

Renowned Early Years consultant Helen Moylett, will explore how our habits of mind are formed as our brains and bodies develop and we come to understand ourselves as learners. She will examine how the role of skilled adults in this process is crucial, providing language rich environments for promoting choice and child initiated learning.

On Friday 1st March 2019, parents across England are notified which secondary school their children were offered a place at for the autumn intake in September 2019.

The Admissions team received approximately 5900 applications from Worcestershire residents. There are no children, whose parents have made an application, without an offer of a secondary school place for September.

We are pleased to report that Worcestershire secondary schools were able to meet 94.5% of all first preferences for September 2019, which is higher than the national average.

Over the last few years, the Admissions team has been promoting applying online via the Worcestershire County Council's website.  This year, 98% of all Worcestershire secondary school applications were made via the online process. This has proved to be very popular amongst parents, due to the security of the information (i.e. forms not being "lost"), and the ability to receive immediate notification of the School Offer on the National Offer Day.

Babcock Prime will be exhibiting at WASBM on Friday 22nd March 2019.
