We have seen over the previous years that there are some talented photographers out there – with that in mind we are back by popular demand and are today launching the Boston calendar photograph competition for 2022.

We would love to see your photos from the past 12 months taken across the fields, down the rivers and in and around our lovely borough. Or it could be a stunning shot of one of our local parks, recreation facility, or a landmark.

For your chance to have your photo selected to illustrate a month throughout 2022 in our electronic calendar and as our social media cover photo you will need to submit your favourite photograph/s to communications.unit@boston.gov.uk following the guidance listed here.

Open Coffee Evening to discuss all waste and fly-tipping issues

Everyone welcome at The White Hart Hotel Wednesday 6th October 6.30pm to 8pm.  Fed up, want your say, feel you're not being listened to? Why not come along to Our Open Coffee evening. Everyone very welcome to exchange views, ask questions, expect answers, offer ideas and suggestions. Let's Work together to win the war on fly-tipping. Your views are valid and needed, we all need to work together on this 143% increase in fly-tipping. Cllr Deborah Evans, said: "I will be respectful to your ideas and views, all I ask is you come with the motivation to think out of the box and consider working with your local Councillor, who actually is a local mum first and foremost." Tea and Coffee will be provided and maybe a biscuit.

First Upcycle Sunday

The first Upcycle Sunday took place on Sunday 5th September.
It gave residents a fun and environmentally-friendly way to share household items that they no longer needed.

Councillor Deborah Evans, would like to say: "A Big Thank You to everyone who joined in with our first Upcycle Sunday, it was such
a fun way to share our household items"

Don't forget there are Free Bulky Waste collections available throughout September.
