DistanceLearningCentre.Com Ltd have provided online Access to Higher Education Diplomas, over a number of years, to members of the Armed forces and their families, enabling them to go on to university to study for a degree or gain a recognised qualification to enhance their existing career.

As well as Access to HE Diplomas, we also offer online GCSEs and Progression Awards in Maths, English and the Sciences.
As a distance learning college, we bring everything needed, for successful study, direct to students online, by email and by phone. We offer:
  • Flexible study - Learners can join a course at any time of the year. If learners need time off to focus on other priorities, they can take a study break and return when it suits them.
  • Affordable and flexible payments - Our Access to HE Diplomas qualify for ELCAS funding however if a learner wishes to pay themselves they can pay in bi-weekly or monthly instalments.
  • Peer support - Through lively student forum and social media routes.
  • Introductory and 'How to' Developmental units on all courses - Helps learners return to an educational environment and develop skills for essay writing and referencing.
  • University Applications - As a UCAS centre we act as a university liaison and give advice and guidance on entry requirements, personal statements, references & interview techniques.
The biggest benefit is that if learners are posted they do not have to give up their studies. Whether posted in the UK or overseas, as long as there is an internet connection, learners can continue their studies as if nothing has changed.
We offer a number of online Access to Higher Education Diplomas that can start people on their path to a new and rewarding career.

Equivalent to 3 x A-Levels,  an Access to HE Diploma enables people, without traditional qualifications, to apply to do a degree course. Each year around 90% of students, completing a Diploma with us, gain an interview or offer for a place at university.

In addition to Access to Higher Education Diplomas, also offer online GCSEs and Progression Awards in Maths, English and the Sciences.
We offer GCSEs and IGCSEs (International GCSEs) which are both graded UK qualifications: we offer IGCSEs in some subjects because they can be completed without the need for coursework. The level of the qualification is exactly the same.

Students will need to take exams in May/June and will need to organise their own exam centre and pay the required fee directly to the exam centre.

We offer support and help to students to find their local exam centres.
Progression Awards
Progression Awards are also known as Level 2 Awards or a Pre-Access course. They can be studied to gain credits at Level 2 in English, Maths or Science and be awarded as a formal Certificate of Achievement.

They are very useful if to brush up on skills in any of these subject areas. Also, if the learner wants to study an Access Diploma with all Units at Level 3, but have been out of education for some time, they are an excellent way to prepare for an all-Level 3 Access Diploma.
