New! CPD webinars for teachers and advisors
 
Attend our free, after-school webinars to gain an in-depth understanding of; applying to competitive courses; preparing your students for university interviews; new degree programmes at Leeds, EPQ support and much more. 

Our first session Undergraduate Admissions: Demystifying the Selection Process at Leeds takes place on Thursday 2 November 2017, 4:00 - 4:45pm.  There will be a live Q&A session after the webinar so you can put questions of your own to the panelists.

Teachers and advisors' conferences 2018
 
Each year the University of Leeds hosts CPD conferences in Leeds and London.  These events are designed to support staff in the post-16 sector who have specific responsibilities for progression and guidance to higher education.

Our 2018 events will take place on the following dates:
LEEDS CONFERENCE - Wednesday 23 May.
LONDON CONFERENCE - Thursday 14 June.

Widening access to medicine and health degrees
 
Do you have students interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare profession?  We offer a range of outreach initiatives designed to inform and inspire young people about the possibilities of and pathways into studying medicine and its allied disciplines.

From roadshows delivered in schools to on campus subject-specific taster days we can deliver targeted sessions for young learners in Year 7 - Year 13 covering in the following areas:

• Medicine
• Dentistry and Oral Science
• Psychology
• Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work
• Healthcare Science

Reach for Excellence
 
We are now recruiting for a new cohort of Year 12 students for our flagship widening participation scheme Reach for Excellence. This programme supports young people who demonstrate the potential to study at a top university but may not consider research intensive higher education to be an option for them.
