Teachers and Advisors' Conferences 2018

Booking is now open! This year our Leeds and London conferences will provide a mix of general HE advice sessions in addition to subject specific workshops which include:
* Clearing and adjustment at Leeds; advice for your students
* The journey to medical school
* Developing research and study skills; support for supervisors
* STEM at Leeds; employability and graduate destinations
* A big Q-Step forward; training social scientists of the future
Our keynote speaker, Charlie Smith from UCAS will provide delegates with an update on the 2018 admissions cycle, exploring the changing trends in Higher Education applications.

Upcoming CPD webinars for teachers and advisors

We offer a programme of after-school webinars for teachers and advisers who support students in raising aspirations to HE. All you need is a computer with internet access and sound to take part. Our sessions for February and March are:
University Admission Interviews and Portfolio Inspections, Tuesday 27 February, 16:00pm - 16:45pm. Learn from our admissions speclialists; why they interview, the different formats used for different courses, what candidates can expect on the day and how best to prepare. Register for the webinar.
Alternative Admissions; the Access to Leeds Scheme, Tuesday 20 March, 16:00pm - 16:45pm. Find out more about Access to Leeds, our alternative admissions pathway, which guarantees special consideration for applicants who have the potential to succeed at the University but who may not be able to demonstrate their academic talent through grades alone. Undergraduate Open Days

Our open day dates for 2018 are:
Friday 15 June
Saturday 16 June
Saturday 8 September
Saturday 6 October
If you plan to attend the event on Friday 15 June with a group of students, please note we will once again be hosting a teachers' lounge between 10pm and 3pm. This is a dedicated area where you can speak to staff and current students or catch up on work. Refreshments are available throughout the day and you are welcome to drop in and out of the lounge anytime.
