 July newsletter

At this time of year we can always look forward to events with a celebratory feeling - whether that is the University Staff Festival or end-of-year events with students from local schools. It is just a bonus that this year we've been enjoying some beautiful sunshine too!
There are also lots of exciting events being confirmed for the new academic year. August is a quiet month so we'll dedicate our next newsletter to looking ahead and getting you fully up to date! If you can't wait until then, remember you can always check our website, Twitter, and Facebook for news and listings.

Our summer term is coming to a close and dates for 2018-19 are confirmed and open for registration. Don't forget that students qualify for our China Camp in the Easter holidays too!

We'll be running tea and calligraphy sessions at the Staff Festival on 6 July. Later in July the Royal Armouries Museum has a whole weekend of activities about Chinese warrior legend Mulan.

Our business events programme for the end of 2018 is filling up! You can register now for a panel event on China in Africa, our seminar on Chinese consumers at Leeds Business Week, and our Annual Lecture with the one and only Gordon Orr.

Volunteers - thank you!
We had a great response to our call for volunteers to help with events over the summer. Their main task will be to help us run school events, including our annual China extravaganza for Year 7 students at our Harrogate Grammar School Confucius Classroom. It is great to see such enthusiasm from volunteers for sharing their knowledge about Chinese language and culture.

Thank you for reading and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Check our website, Twitter, and Facebook for updates, and please contact us if you have any questions.
