Councillor Neil Bannister

Foreword from the Leader
Welcome to Harborough District News, which will now be published monthly since we re-launched this newsletter at the end of last year. We have an exciting year ahead starting with some high-profile comedy acts set to bring business to local venues (please do support this event so we can build on it next year!) plus exciting leisure opportunities and an environmental campaign urging people to reduce their reliance on plastics which we hope will inspire other towns and cities. We're also listening to what our residents are saying with three consultations currently ongoing so do have your say.

Councillor Neil Bannister,
Leader of Harborough District Council

Sessions will include running, kickboxing, squash, Clubbercise, hockey, pilates, badminton and much more.
The emphasis is on just turning up and joining in and first session will be free of charge if you have signed up.

Plastics pledge - sign up for better future
We need you to take a 'plastics pledge' and help protect the planet.
Eco Church Harborough, with support from Harborough District Council, is spearheading a campaign urging Harborough residents and organisations to make a commitment to reduce their own reliance on single-use plastics.
Pick up the Plastics Pledge at Refill Revolution at Harborough Market and join hundreds of other people who are making a commitment to a better future.
