In order to claim the Bounce Back Loan, applicants will need to fill out a simple form which will ask for details such as annual turnover, bank account number, amount of credit sought and whether the business has been adversely affected by the virus.

Applying for the loan through a bank/ lender that you already have an existing account with, should allow you to receive the loan within days.

You can find out below, more about this scheme, as well as a list of potential lenders, if you do not already have one, or wish to choose an alternative lender.

Once you have applied, the lender makes a decision as to whether you are eligible for the loan. If one lender does not offer you finance, you are able to apply via other lenders.

Top-up to Local Business Grant Funds Scheme
A Top-up for the Small business Grant Funds has been announced to accommodate certain small businesses previously outside the scope of the local business grant funds scheme.

As of 27 April, over £7.5 billion has been paid out to over 614,000 businesses via the Small Business Grand Fund and the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Fund Schemes.
This is over 61% of the grant funding allocated to local authorities.

This additional fund is aimed at small businesses with ongoing fixed property-related costs.

Local authorities will prioritise businesses in shared spaces, regular market traders, small charity properties that would meet the criteria for Small Business Rates Relief, and bed and breakfasts that pay council tax rather than business rates.

But local authorities may choose to make payments to other businesses based on local economic need.

The allocation of funding will be at the discretion of local authorities, who will soon be given further guidance on this.
