The UK's Largest Logistics Building in Development - Magna Park South
image.

Magna Park South, in Lutterworth, Leicestershire is undergoing a huge development project which will boast the largest speculative logistics building in the UK.

COVID-19 and February storms certainly have not slowed down the process, with one of these units being completed already.

The development will see four speculative logistics and distribution units totalling 1.2 million sq ft within Magna Park South, Lutterworth, a new 131-acre extension to the existing Magna Park Lutterworth development.

The developments will also benefit from GLP's improved base build specification that features an ultra modern design of the primary office elevation together with a range of cutting-edge enhancements throughout the welfare facilities. The new innovations includes a new feature reception, the use of natural materials and finishes throughout, acoustic panels and exposed services in the office space and an open plan kitchen and recreational area.

This informative video,  captures the current high level of development being achieved by Magna Park South, as well as highlighting high degree of sustainability incorporated in key elements of the building design and process.

Business advisers to offer free services to SMEs

The Professional and Business Services Sector and Enterprise Nation, supported by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, have teamed up to offer small and medium sized businesses free advice to help them recover from the impact of Coronavirus.

This offer will be available until 31st December 2020.

This scheme is open to all SMEs, to get a range of advice via the Enterprise Nation Platform, supported by the BEIS, where they can specify the support they need, from a range of different areas of business.

Each adviser is offering at least one hour of free one-to-one advice each month until the end of 2020.

This includes organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Personal Development, Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Management Consultancies Association.

This would be a great way to gain free support to aid SMEs to recover in a range of areas such as:

  • Marketing, PR & Social Media
  • Technology and Digital tools,
  • Accounting and finance
  • Planning and Strategy
  • People and Building a Team

Over 12,000 advisers in the existing Enterprise Nation community are available to provide advice through the platform, with more new professional advisers being signed up specifically to support the scheme.

The scheme is open to small businesses and expert advisers throughout the UK.

Mark Robinson, chairman of the High Streets Task Force visited Market Harborough last week and was joined by local MP Neil O'Brien and Leader of Harborough District Council Cllr Phil King.

They spent time chatting to a number of retailers in the town centre discussing how businesses are bouncing back post-lockdown, as well as some of the challenges they are facing.

This comes with the launch of the #ShopLocal Campaignwhich will continue to build confidence among customers and welcome them safely back to the High Street.
