The University of Leeds are partnering with In2scienceUK this year. The In2scienceUK programme gives Year 12 students meaningful experiences and expert insights beyond the classroom to support progression to diverse careers within science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  Through connecting students to experts from across STEM virtually and in-person, the programme gives them the guidance they need to confidently choose their career pathway and produce high-quality UCAS and apprenticeship applications.

This year we will again be offering online Summer Schools for students in Year 12.

We will be offering summer schools in Biological Sciences, Food Science & Nutrition and Mathematics.

Our Leeds Loves STEM student ambassadors have recorded short videos detailing the courses they are studying at Leeds, why they chose the University, the highlights of their time at University so far and their future career plans.

The videos may be of special interest to Key Stage 4&5 students thinking about the next step.

STEM Lecture Series 1
For students in Years 11 / 12 / 13 interested in areas relating to Biology and Chemistry.

Weekly online sessions every Wednesday from 24th Feb - 31st March 2021, 4.15pm - 5.15pm

An opportunity to hear from researchers in STEM and expand your knowledge in a range of topics, including antibiotic resistance, marine science, climate and sports science, and meet our undergraduates to find out more about studying STEM degrees at Leeds.

UK Food Science Webinar: Flipping Great: Perfect Pancake Science
Tuesday 16 February 2021, 5pm-6pm

Free online webinar for Key Stage 3 students and their families.

Shrove Tuesday is often referred to as 'pancake day' within the UK. Whilst everyone else is considering what toppings to have on their pancakes, why don't you join us to uncover all the brilliant science that helps create the pancakes and accompaniments we all love and enjoy.

Virtual Physics Work Experience Week
Monday 26 - Friday 30 July 2021

A chance for Year 12 students to explore fascinating Physics topics, meet world-leading experts and get a taste of what life as a researcher is like, hosted by the Universities of York, Leeds and Sheffield. 

Applications must be submitted by the end of Tuesday 4 May and successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 21 May.
