East Lindsey to submit ambitious £10m Levelling Up bid to drive investment and regeneration

The bid which is expected to be up to £10 million as part of the Government's Levelling Up Fund, is designed to secure capital investment in infrastructure that has the potential to improve lives and give people pride in their communities. The bid will feature the regeneration of Alford including the restoration of the Alford Windmill and the creation of new visitor experiences. Spilsby Sessions House will also benefit as part of the bid by bringing back its use as a theatre. 
 
 
Millions in Government Funding confirmed for Mablethorpe and Skegness

The confirmations mean that Mablethorpe will get a new leisure centre and digital learning complex with the town centre benefiting from further improvements. The Colonnade at Sutton on Sea will be redeveloped, and a new visitor hub at Sandilands will be created. Skegness is set to get a new high quality learning campus, and Skegness Foreshore will benefit from investment. In addition, the town centre and Skegness Railway station will see improvements.

Lincolnshire Coastal Project Presented to Regional Transport Conference

The South & East Councils Partnership consisting of Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District has presented a new solution to improve transport in rural areas at the Rural Transport Conference on  Tuesday 21st June 2022. The Demand Responsive Transport app was submitted by the Deutsche Bahn Group to be developed in partnership with the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, that will allow users to pre-order and access demand responsive transport.

The Councils Partnership is to receive £9.3 million over the next 3 years from the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the Government's Levelling Up agenda. East Lindsey has been awarded £4.4million to invest in three priority areas: local communities and places; support for local businesses; and people and skills.
