Hello!

Almost one month into 2023! TS Eliot wrote "April is the cruelest month" but we're pretty certain it's January. But now, almost up to February, each day grows slightly, but noticeably, longer that the last. We're all in our stride with the term, we're looking forward and can see rest of the spring term laid out before us, and we're excited for the progress to be made with our customers between now and the Easter holiday.

The first week of Easter coincides with the new financial year. And that brings some price changes to our services. A less happy new year than the one we've just celebrated perhaps.

However - and we're really excited about this - we have worked out a brilliant way for you to pay this year's pricing for next year's training. YES! See below for details. Please take advantage of it if you can. It'll save your establishment 10% on your training budget.

Save 10% on Training - act now!

As we know, costs are shooting up in all areas of work and life, and we have to reflect this in our pricing. In line with our terms and conditions, we will be raising the price of all Training by 10% on 1st April 2023.

However, training is vital to the success of all schools and trusts, and budgets are tighter than ever. Here's how Scomis is helping.

Book any Scomis Training before 6pm on Friday 31st March 2023, and we will hold the current price for you - whenever the course takes place.

For example, book now onto "School Census Primary - Tutor led training" which runs on 9th May 2023 and your establishment will be charged £115 if you're a customer, and £170 for non-customers. Book the same course on or after 1st April 2023, and customers will be charged £126.50 and non-customers £187 per trainee.

If your establishment regularly sends team members on specific courses, take the time to book the courses now, and save 10%.

This goes for every course available on the Training timetable - beyond 2023 and into 2024.

Are there any more courses coming?

We will continue to add news courses every week between now and the end of March, so keep checking our training timetable - and we'll keep reminding you right up to the deadline. We want as many customers as possible to be able to save this 10% on their training and CPD budget.

Hey Matt!
We've had a lot of bad weather lately... How do I add an exceptional circumstance in attendance for school closures and any upcoming disruption?

image.

I'm glad you asked! This would be either a Y or # code to indicate that pupils do not have to attend due to planned/unplanned school closure and can be entered in bulk for the whole school.

If you haven’t done this before or need a reminder, check out our MyScomis article or the FAQ.

If you are not sure which code to use, you will need to speak to your

Education Welfare Officer for advice.

Customer feedback corner - thank you 😊
