Ambitious £20m Levelling Up bid submitted

Connectivity and culture are at the heart of an ambitious £20m bid that we have submitted to the Government's Levelling Up Fund.

Introduced in March this year, the Levelling Up Fund aims to drive investment in areas previously left behind; supporting projects identified as priorities by local stakeholders which will have a meaningful impact within their area. This can include transport improvements, town centre investment and expanding an area's cultural offering.

These aims are at the core of our bid, which will connect the Towns Fund investment on the Lincolnshire Coast through new walking and cycling routes to the Lincolnshire Wolds, as well as cultural investment into the district's market towns.

Bottle bank update

Due to an increase in glass disposal in the district we've placed
additional green wheelie bins for glass at Spilsby, Woodhall Spa, Horncastle Town Hall and Coningsby glass recycling sites.

The company responsible for emptying the sites is currently experiencing a surge in demand and is collecting from the sites as frequently as they can but you may find the large glass site containers are full. In this instance we ask that you please put any  glass into the additional wheelie bin rather than leaving it on the floor.
