Applications are now open!
Our online applications are now open for 16-18 year old students wishing to apply to study with us in September 2022. Our first Interview date for students will be Monday 1 November. We will then hold monthly interview sessions up until June 2022.

Open Events
For students considering their next steps, the best way to find out more about Exeter College is to visit us at one of our open events. Our first open event will be on Wednesday 13 October 4pm8pm. Please note, all courses will be represented at the city centre sites for the October and November open events. There will be opportunities to visit the Technology Centre and Construction Centre later in the academic year. We encourage learners to register for the open events in advance to find out which sites they can visit at each event.

Supporting Your School
The Exeter College Advice Team is trained in providing information, advice and guidance to ensure that your students get the support they need when making their post-16 choices. We are committed to raising aspirations and supporting all students to take the steps they need to achieve their goals. 

We offer an extensive range of activities both in schools and at college, including one to one advice and guidance, careers fairs, parents' evenings, options evenings and work preparation days, as well as bespoke visits to college. Apprenticeships at Exeter College
An Apprenticeship allows young people to gain industry standard training and a qualification alongside real, on-the-job experience, whilst earning a salary. Studying whilst in work makes learners highly employable, with 92% of Apprentices continuing into full-time employment upon completion. With a network of 950+ employer partners across South West England and up to 300 vacancies at any one time, learners considering an apprenticeship will find a wide range of options at Exeter College.

Apprenticeship Schools Outreach
The Apprenticeships Team are delighted to engage with schools across the South West. From five minute talks to more in-depth sessions, the Apprenticeship Ambassadors can give learners a real insight into what being an Apprentice is all about and can tailor sessions to your needs. Please give them a call on 01392 400800 to arrange a school visit. 

Virtual Apprenticeship Guidance 
The Exeter College Apprenticeships team are here to support applicants from start to finish. They can help with anything, from general advice and guidance, to help with job searches.  Students can book a virtual one-to-one appointment with a member of the team here

EdTech Demonstrator Programme
The EdTech Demonstrator Programme was developed by the Department for Education to ensure schools and colleges could access free, expert advice on educational technology. It was put in place to support any publicly funded school or college in England to access support and there is no cost to schools receiving advice and guidance from the EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges. 

Exeter College has long been an advocate of the use of digital tools, technologies and pedagogies within teaching and learning and are proud to have been recognised as a Microsoft Showcase College since 2019. We are excited to work with schools or colleges who are looking to make better use of the digital tools at their fingertips. With expertise in the Microsoft and iDEA scheme, we can support schools and colleges to get the most out of Microsoft products to provide inspirational teaching digitally. Here's how we can support you:

Level 1 Aspirational visit  16th February
An opportunity for students likely to progress onto Level 1 or Entry Level vocational courses to meet with our specialist foundation learning team, sample two different vocational sessions and experience college life. The visit is designed to motivate students with their GCSE preparation, and to relieve anxiety about next steps to help ensure a positive transition for students. 

Academic Insights Day  2nd and 9th February
For Year 10 academically able learners (those predicted to achieve mainly GCSE grades at 7, 8 and 9) to visit Exeter College for the day to learn more about our Reach Academy, the International Baccalaureate and to experience life as a college student. 

Curriculum update  – Wednesday 15th June - This annual event is an opportunity for careers and transition staff in schools to meet and share best practice, learn about key curriculum changes taking place nationally, and gather information to support learners considering studying at Exeter College.
