Applications are now open for the Mathematics Summer School.

Tuesday 28th June - Thursday 30 June 2022

Suitable for Year 12 Students studying Mathematics A-Level. 

This a great opportunity for students to visit campus and get sneak preview of university life plus an insight into how mathematics develops at degree level.

Our University tutors will extend and enrich your existing study of mathematics at A-level (or equivalent) through talks and interactive sessions.

We will give you an invaluable insight into the structure of mathematics degrees, the courses, admissions procedure and how to make the most of your application to university.

*The cost to attend the in-person summer school is expected to be approximately £130 bursaries will be available to cover the cost of attendance and travel for students satisfying two or more Access to Leeds criteria)

FBS & Food Science Summer Schools: Express Your Interest!

For Year 12 Students studying STEM subjects at A-Level
To enable your students to get an appreciation of studying a STEM subject at degree level we offer summer schools in Biological Sciences, and Food Science & Nutrition

The 2022 Summer Schools will be a mix of online sessions in-person activities on campus

Applications will open shortly. For now, please  express your interest in our FBS & Food Science programmes and we will contact you as soon as applications open.

In2scienceUK summer programme
In2scienceUK works with passionate STEM researchers and professionals to support disadvantaged young people to pursue careers in STEM. Through an inspirational summer programme of in-person work placements, online skills workshops and competitions, In2scienceUK gives Year 12 students the opportunities they need to overcome the barriers in their way of becoming the next generation of innovators and pioneers. 

To hear more about volunteering, register to attend one of several online sessions In2scienceUK are running over the coming months. More information can also be found here or by contacting hosts@in2scienceuk.org 


It's easy to support In2scienceUK's mission by becoming a host. Make a difference to the prospects of these young people by sharing your expertise and insights through a 1- or 2-week placement at your workplace.

Apply here and provide underrepresented students with invaluable support to help them succeed on their journey into STEM.

The Geospatial Scholarship Fund

Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate study of geography and geoscience.

Black and mixed Black heritage students are significantly under-represented within the fields of geography and geoscience.

The scholarships will:

Help to promote geography and geoscience as a positive life choice for students

Provide financial and other support for students throughout their studies

Increase the number of Black and mixed Black heritage students studying and working within the disciplines.

There will be two awards made every academic year:

1) Undergraduate Award of £30,000 to study geography or geoscience (£10,000/yr). The award can be spent on fees or maintenance.

2) Masters Award of £20,000 (full time 1 year masters) to study within the disciplines of geography or geoscience.

Our undergraduate open days for 2022 will take place on:

·       Saturday 25 June 2022

·       Saturday 10 September 2022

·       Saturday 8 October 2022

Prospective students can register their interest in attending and receive event updates by completing our short online form.  

Once registered they will receive an alert when booking opens and be able to view our activity schedule to plan their day.
