Maths Summer School 2023

Year 12 Maths Summer School designed to give students a sneak preview of preview of university life plus an insight into how mathematics develops at degree level. This residential will take place on campus at the University of Leeds

Food Science Summer School

The School of Food Science and Nutrition runs an annual summer school for Year 12 students, which aims to give young scientists an introduction to this multidisciplinary science subject and find out more about studying the subject at the University of Leeds.

Key Stage 5 Maths Taster Day

Wednesday 29 March 2023

This Key Stage 5 Maths taster day takes place at the University of Leeds and is suitable for A-Level students thinking of studying Maths at University. Teachers should make bookings on behalf of a school group.

Year 12 Physics Work Experience Week

Monday 24 - Friday 28 July 2023

The Physics Work Experience week is back in person this year. The objective of the project is to present a research poster at a conference-style event at the end of the Work Experience Week. It’s a relaxed, fun, low pressure experience that’s open to everyone studying Maths and Physics at A-level.

Chemistry practical assessment days

Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th May 2023

We are offering schools the opportunity to bring year 12 students to the university to carry out a required practical experiment in our teaching laboratories. Students will synthesise and analyse paracetamol, as well as find out more about where chemistry can lead, explore the campus and speak to current staff and students.

Places are limited and in high demand, please only request the number that are able and want to attend

Geoscience Events
